2026-2027 School Theme

For the 2026–2027 school year, St. Helen Catholic School has chosen the theme “Go Forth and Bear Much Fruit,” inspired by the words of Jesus in John 15:8, 16:
"By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples... I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should abide."
In Scripture, fruit is the visible sign of a healthy and thriving plant. A tree is known by the fruit it produces. In the same way, the success of a Catholic school is not measured simply by test scores, trophies, or buildings, but by the lives it helps form. The true fruit of our mission is found in students who know Christ, love Christ, and carry His light into the world.
At St. Helen Catholic School, we strive to cultivate the Fruits of the Holy Spirit in every student: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These virtues are not learned in a single lesson or mastered in a single year. They grow through daily Mass, prayer, worship, study, service, friendship, and the witness of faithful teachers and families. Like a gardener who patiently tends a vineyard, we work together to nurture hearts and minds so that each child can flourish according to God's plan.
This year's theme also reminds us that our mission extends far beyond our campus. Jesus did not call His disciples simply to remain where they were; He sent them forth. Every student who walks through our doors is being prepared to become a disciple who bears witness to Christ in their family, parish, community, and future vocation. Whether our graduates become priests, religious sisters, teachers, parents, business leaders, healthcare professionals, or public servants, our hope is that they carry with them the faith, character, and virtues that were planted and cultivated here.
As we continue our efforts to build a new school campus, we are reminded that we are doing far more than constructing classrooms and buildings. We are creating a place where future generations will encounter Christ, discover their God-given gifts, and be formed as missionary disciples. The growth we seek is not simply in enrollment or facilities, but in the multiplication of faithful disciples who will go forth and bear lasting fruit for the Church and the world.
For more than 85 years, St. Helen Catholic School has been planting seeds of faith in the Vero Beach community. Today, we see the fruit of those efforts in the thousands of alumni who have gone forth to serve, lead, and witness to Christ in countless ways. As we embrace this new year, we pray that God will continue to bless our school community so that the fruit of our mission may grow abundantly for generations to come.
